Beito

As usual Christmas was celebrated in Norway. This year at my mom's. Three days later we had an additional Christmas eve at my dad's, perhaps the only real advantage when your parents are divorced... The first x-mas was rather quiet and traditional wheras the second one was "spoiled" by the guys having a guitar jam session in the living room.

My gran also "invited" us for coffee and cakes (as grannies do), which was very nice since our cousins from Oslo were also there.

For New Year's Jenny and I went with some friends of mine to Beitostölen, a Norwegian mountain resort in the middle of nowhere somehow famous for hosting cross-country world cup events. For being up north and in the mountains there was very little snow. Only 5 of the 19 pistes were open but it wasn't too bad. After having skied for 3 years in the Austrian and Swiss alps Beitostölen was never going to seem like a world-class sking resort anyway... But we came for a good time, and that's what we got. The 8 of us rented an apartment in downdown Beito and enjoyed good food and lots of "juleöl".

me, Vegard, Maiken, Martin and Kai-Roger (Vegard's dad!)

They were invited to cook for us
